The college has an NSS unit consisting of 50 students and a staff co-ordinator

A special camp of National Service Scheme wing of Paavai Engineering College, Pachal, was conducted for a week from 25th to 31st March in the Kadandhampatti village belonging to Pachal Panchayat. Dr.C.Jegadheesan, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, presided over the inaugural function. Mrs.Kamalam Subbarayan, President of Kadandhampatti village and Mrs.K.Vasanthamani, Headmistress of Elementary School, Kadandhampatti, participated in the inaugural function of the special camp.

The activities of the camp include,

• Planting saplings on the sides of the streets
• Cleaning the street and public places of the village
• Identification of blood group
• Free medical camp
• Creating Public Awareness.

Special lectures were arranged and eminent professors addressed on the following useful topics for the students of NSS,

• The role of youngsters in the social reforms.
• The importance of technology in the village development.
• Renewable energy sources.
