Curriculum

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is established as a full fledged department offering B.E and M.E courses. The mission of the department is to educate students to become globally competent. The Department of Mechanical Engineering shares the mission and vision of the institution in imparting quality education to the students. The department has a committed, highly experienced and motivated team of faculty members.

Research Centre:

Mechanical Department has been approved as a Research Centre by Anna University, Coimbatore to offer Ph.D. programmes.

Lab Facilities
Basic Workshop:

To impart fundamental skills, the basic workshop is equipped with  Bench-wise, Workbenches, Bench drilling machine, Bench grinder, Arc Welding Machine, Gas welding machine, Shearing machine and Circular Saw machines.

Association Activities:

The Mechanical Engineering Association 'Society of Mechanical Engineers' organizes National Level Technical Symposia 'PLASMA' every year in order to bring out the inborn talents of the budding engineers. A two-day National conference was conducted during April 2009 to enhance the technical knowledge of the faculty members. Several guest lectures are being arranged round the year to update the knowledge so that students can keep track of state-of–the-art technologies.
