Inauguration of EEE Association
Inauguration of EEE association, INNOVATIVE SOCIETY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS was held at Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal, on 24.07.2010. Dr.V.Ajay-D-Vimalraj, Professor / Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College, was the Chief Guest and the Chairman of Paavai Institutions, CA.N.V.Natarajan presided over the function. The function started with the lighting of kuthuvizhaku by Correspondent Mrs.Mangai Natarajan. Director Administration Professor K.K.Ramasamy, DirectorPlacement & Training Mr.S.Srinivasan, Principal Dr.C.Jegadheesan, Director (Management Studies) Dr.M.Sivaprakasam & Dean Dr.M.Jeyaraman, participated in the inauguration. ISEE Association Secretary, Ms.A.Thenmozhi, welcomed the gathering & Prof.B.Murali Babu, HOD / EEE introduced the Office bearers.
In the presidential address, the Chairman of Paavai Institutions, explained the importance of planning and asked the students to actively participate in the various programmes organized by ISEE. He insisted to plan themselves in order to reach great heights. He stressed the members of ISEE to conduct more conferences and symposiums to share their knowledge with their friends and interact with eminent persons who deliver guest lectures through ISEE. He also insisted the students to develop their vocabulary, so as to improve their communication by reading news paper daily for one hour. He expressed his wishes to develop their technical skills by utilizing the resources available in the campus.
The Chief Guest stressed on the job opportunities in the power sector. In the 12th plan, about 300 billion dollars has been allocated for power sector. The planning commission of India has estimated that the future power demand for the year 2032 would be around 750GW. He asked the students to utilize this opportunity to get good job in the power sector. He also explained about the importance of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He insisted the students to upgrade their domain knowledge with additional qualification and leadership skills.
Ms.K.Janet Felicia enumerated the association activity chart for the year 2010-2011. Finally, the additional secretary P.Ashok Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
