Inauguration of ISTE Students Chapter was held in Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal, on 21.07.2010 at 3.00 PM. Mr. N.Sekar, Senior Manager, BHEL, Trichy, was the Chief Guest and the Chariman of Paavai Institutions, Auditor CA.N.V.Natarajan presided over the function. The function started with the lighting of kuthuvizhaku by Correspondent Mrs.Mangai Natarajan. P.Pradeep, Student Secretary, ISTE Students Chapter, welcomed the gathering and Prof.M.Karthikeyan, Faculty Advisor, ISTE Students Chapter, introduced the Office bearers. The Executive Member of ISTE Students Chapter Ms. R.Swathi gave the introduction about the Chief Guest.

In the presidential address, the Chairman of Paavai Institutions, explained the importance of ISTE Chapter and asked our students to participate in all the activities with full enthusiasm and to learn new technology through ISTE Chapter. He also stressed our students to improve themselves in all activities combined with Placement Cell. He expressed his wishes to develop their soft skills by utilizing the resources available on the campus. And also he insisted on the Executive Members of ISTE Students Chapter to prepare the activity chart for this academic year and to plan and act according to the chart. He also asked the students to bring the Eminent persons to our campus through this Chapter for their betterment.

The Chief Guest, Mr.N.Sekar, explained the importance and advantages of ISTE Chapter. He asked the students to share their knowledge with their friends to improve themselves. He also gave tips to students how to be an ideal person and how to get job opportunities by thinking differently. He stated that plenty of information is available in the internet regarding technical and general knowledge. He stressed the students to utilize these facilities to widen their technical skills and general skills. He asked the students to be a different by thinking and analyzing differently to face the competition in the world. He concluded with the concept of Creativity.

The Joint Secretary Ms.S.Jimna explained the activity chart for the year 2010-2011. Finally, the Executive Member of ISTE Students Chapter G.Parthiban gave the vote of thanks. The function was concluded with the National Antham.
