Inauguration of Association of Information Technology
The department of Information Technology, Paavai Engineering College has inangurated the department association ASSOIT (Association of Information Technology) at the Kalams Chamber on 31.07.2010. Prof.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration of Paavai Institutions graced the exertion by lighting the kuthuvilakku. In his presidential address he insisted us to make us of the available resources efficiently and to equip us to service as the fittest one.

The chief guest, Mr.Arunkumar Selvaraj, Senior Consultant in TCS delivered a lucrative lecture on Emerging Technologies in IT. He emphasized on the Art of Differentiation that would make us shine in a huge innovative mass. As a way through his own life story, he stressed on the importance of developing leadership qualities, being a self-starter and also to improve the adaptability with which he gave a spell for knowledge Learn and Unlearn.

He mentioned that the trend of IT is a sine curve with raise and falls and since there is an efficient growth these days, its the students duty to make themselves employable. He insisted upon the student to not only be updated in the current trends but also to gain knowledge about the past that would provide a good experience. With a key point that It is an enabler and not on industry, he made the student clear with the upcoming technologies and encouraged to be one among the innovators in the world that would make PAAVAI! a globally renounced institution.

The function was made grotesque with the presence of Dr.C.Jegadheesan, Principal of Paavai Engineering College and Mrs.A.Suphalakshmi, HOD of Information Technology. The happening came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr.Apireddy Sivaji of final year Information Technology.
