Curriculum
The department of MCA was established in the year 2002. The outgone students since
2005 were successfully completed their course and placed in various companies. At
present, there are 185 students studying MCA course in our department for the academic
year (2009-10) with the guidance of dedicated and well qualified faculty members.
The vision of the department is to provide a quality learning environment by inspiring
students, with the state of the art facilities, lectures and further widening the
knowledge horizon by interacting with experts from academia and industry.
Lab
The department has well-equipped computer lab with the latest processors (Pentium
IV, Core 2 Duo),operating systems (Windows XP, Linux), applications( MS- Office,
Tally, Macro Media Flash MX), compilers (C Complier, JDK 1.5, J2EE), software (C,
C++, Java, JDK 2.0, J2EE, Visual Studio, Oracle, C#, .NET, Rational Rose, Multimedia
Software), Printers, Scanners, Modems, Over Head Projector, LCD Projector with internet
facility .

Association Activities
For the past four years the department organizing and conducted National level Technical
symposia and various competitions being organized every year to bring out the hidden
talents of the students.
Special lectures are delivered by experts from industries and other Institutions
which are organized by the association.
Student Projects
The students are permitted to carry out Mini-Project/ project inside the campus
and industry during the course of study. They are also permitted to carry out the
real time projects given by CSI-SPRINGBOARD, Chennai
Major Achievements
The department achieved ZONE - FIRST in Anna University Examination during the year
2007. Miss.C. Manohari secured 11th rank with 85% during 2003-2006 in Anna
University, Chennai.

Training and Continuing
Education
- Soft Skills Course offered by HP for 50 Hours with a total of 200 students per semester
- J2EE & DOT NET courses handled by HP for 75 Hours with strength of 50 students.
- Students are motivated to do Certification exams on Sun Java, Oracle, .net and ERP.
Social Involvement
Village Adoption
A village was adopted in the nearby area in to 2009 for improving and providing
the facilities like street lights and sanitation. Lot of community development programmes
are being conducted.
